Cecil Lewitz Obituary (2006) - Chicago, IL - Chicago Tribune:
607Cecil J. Lewitz, the late husband of Nancy, passed away peacefully after a short illness on Saturday, September 16, 2006. He was a true Renaissance Man. His love of all sports and music and his wonderful artistic abilities were all things he excelled in. Most of all, he loved Aspen, the beauty of it, and all the wonderful friends and happy years of his life that he spent there. He was a leader of Great Books, a Bold Guide for the Blind, and did many other things for the community he loved. He was adored and loved by his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of many years; his beloved son Jack (Amy); his grandson Nathan; his granddaughter Charlie (Chad) Saffro; granddaughter Tania Frazee and her children, Destiny, Brittany, and Jade. Michael (Irene) Lewitz, his eldest son, passed away in March of this year. He was beloved by all and will be sorely missed. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, September 19, in Aspen, CO. Donations can be made to the charity of choice.
