693Leopold LapatLeopold Lapat, 66, husband of Mrs. Eva Wiseman Lapat, 194 Vreeland Avenue, Paterson, died Saturday after a month's illness. Mr. Lapat, a mechanical engineer, originated a process for reducing tin from dyestuff wastes. He was born in Esthonia and settled in this country as a youth. Mr. Lapat was a graduate of Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken. In addition to his wife, survivors are a son, Philip, two brothers, and two sisters.

Leopold Lapat, husband of Eva Wiseman Lapat of 194 Vreeland Avenue, died on Saturday at noon at the age of 66 years. He had been ill for about a month.
Born in Esthonia, Mr. Lapat came to this country when he was 13. He lived in Paterson for over 50 years.
Mr. Lapat graduated from Stevens College of Technology in 1906 with an M.E. degree. He was the originator of a process for reducing tin from dyestuff wastes.
Funeral services will be held from his home at 2 o’clock this afternoon, with Rabbi Reuben Kaufman of Temple Emanuel officiating. The interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Rochelle Park.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Lapat is survived by one son, Phillip; two brothers, Oscar, and Phillip Lapat; and two sisters, Mrs. Ida Edelstein of New York City and Mrs. Lillian Yudelson of Chicago.
