Mrs. Julius Mittman
Mrs. Olga Mittman, 79, of 251 Riverside Ave, died Monday at Drummond Convalescent Hospital. Born in Germany, she came to Torrington in 1903. She and her husband, Julius Mittman, observed their 58th wedding anniversary on June 29.
In addition to her husband, she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Kendall Crossfield of Harwinton, Mrs. Robert Harrison of Cheshire, and Mrs. Leland Goodale of Bloomfield; three brothers, Edmund Arndt of Torrington, Ralph Arndt of Terryville and Rheinhold Arndt of Newtown; two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Schellenberger and Mrs. Emma Like, both of Torrington; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Gleeson Mortuary — the Rev. Richard H. Porritt, pastor of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
The mortuary will be open today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the building fund of St. Paul’s Church are suggested.
