3368Delmar MittmanDelmar Mittman, 84, died Wednesday morning, Dec. 30, 1992, at his home, 2915 Sampson St.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan 2, at the Geo. M. Witfich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Hal Pearson of the Walnut Park Baptist Church will officiate. Jan Phillips will be the organist. Don Anderson, Jeff Anderson, Corey Phillips, Alan Mittman, Edwin Buffington, Ray Dietrich, Ken MeKinney, and Cliff Lanfier will be pallbearers. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to Community Nursing of Muscatine.
Mr. Mittman was born on July 29, 1908, in Muscatine, the son of Fred C. and Emma (Gorman) Mittman. He was a life resident of the area.
On Oct 26, 1933, he was united in marriage to Elnora G. Tobias in Muscatine.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He worked as a welder and electrician for Acme Fuel and Material Co. for 33 years and most recently worked at Hawk Motors Car Sales until his retirement.
Survivors include one sister, June Higgins of Fort Madison; many nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in August of 1991, and one brother.

3378Elnora Tobias, Delmar Mittman Wed ThursdayMiss Elnora Tobias, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gust Tobias, South Park addition, became the bride of Delmar Mittman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mittman, rural route 6, at a ceremony performed at 7 p.m. Thursday at the parsonage of the Mulford Congregational church.
The Rev. John Blough, pastor, officiated using the single-ring ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rann of Muscatine attended the couple.
The bride wore a blue crepe gown and carried an arm bouquet of pink rosebuds. Mrs. Rann was dressed in black velvet, and her flowers were also pink rosebuds.
Mr. and Mrs. Mittman will reside on rural route No. 6.
