3411Dittemore-Mittman Nuptials ReadIn a candlelighted ceremony at 7:30 last night, Winfield Scott Dittemore Jr. took Miss Thelma Kathryn Mittman as his bride. The couple repeated vows with the Rev Robert Morris in the Olive Branch Christian Church.
For the double-ring nuptials, the bride appeared in a white Chantilly lace over white nylon tulle and satin gown. Her white veil of illusion with a pink underlay was attached to a crown of orange blossoms, and a pink orchid centered her cascade of white roses.
GIVEN IN marriage by her father, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Mittman, 203 Berwyn Street. The bridegroom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Winfield Scott Dittemore, 1709 Miller Street.
Mrs. Barbara Burton served as matron of honor in a dark green ballerina-length gown with light pink accessories.
THE BRIDESMAIDS, in light green gowns with dark pink accessories, were Mrs. Martin Kindig and Miss Martha Backeyemer.
Robert Dittemore acted as best man for his brother, and the ushers were Robert Mittman of Martinsville and Mr. Kindig.
After a reception at the church, the couple left on a wedding trip through the Smoky Mountains.
Mr. and Mrs. Dittemore will reside at 127 West Troy Avenue.
