2582Bernice FindlingBernice Findling, devoted wife of Harold, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 8, from causes incident to age. She was nearly 97 years old.
Bernice was born in Garfield, Ut., to Fred and Annabelle Meeking Williams on Nov. 28, 1905. She remained close to her sister, Ruby, and brother, Fred. Bernice married her true love, Harold Findling, on
June 6, 1937. Bernice and Harold owned The Boston Store on Main St, which she helped manage. She later worked at Wolf’s. Member of Congregation Kol Ami. She volunteered with her husband at SL Veteran’s Administration Hospital for many years. She had an engaging sense of humor and was genuinely kind to all. Bernice was devoted to Harold, her husband of 66 years, and her family. She is survived by a niece, nephews, and many grand and great-nieces and nephews who loved her.

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 10 a.m., City Cemetery, B'nai Israel, 1021 E. 4th Ave.

2585Mr. and Mrs. Frederic S. Williams of Los Angeles announced the engagement of their daughter, Bernice, to Harold Findling, son of Mrs. Esther Findling, 26 South Wolcott Street, Salt Lake. The marriage will take place in June.

2586Couple Will Spend Honeymoon in EastMiss Bernice Williams of Los Angeles, formerly of Salt Lake City, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred S. Williams, was married Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. to Harold Findling, son of Mrs. Jack Findling. Rabbi Samuel Gordon performed the ceremony at the Findling home, 26 South Wolcott Avenue.
The couple left immediately after the ceremony for New York and the Century of Progress exposition in Chicago, where they will spend their honeymoon. They will return to Salt Lake City in late June to make their home.
